The Skill Attack is Sports Attack's entry-level volleyball training machine, engineered as the perfect individual training tool with a ball release point of 5' 3". Two variable-speed motors directly drive two indestructible 6.5" diameter, 1.5" wide throwing wheels, delivering serves and sets at speeds up to 45+ MPH with a full range of spin, from sharp downspins to breaking floaters, and consistent no-spin soft sets.
Because the throwing head pivots instantly both horizontally (via a new quick-release knob) and vertically, coaches can target any point on the court without moving the entire machine, enabling serve receiving, setting, digging, and team-coordination drills that simulate real game situations. The machine can be rolled along the serving baseline to vary serve angles, and there is no recovery time between throws, allowing rapid repetition of any drill.
Designed for young serious players practicing at home as well as competitive club or school youth teams, the Skill Attack delivers digging drills from the same side of the net with power and accuracy, though its release point and top speed are lower than the larger Attack, Attack II, and Total Attack machines built for over-the-net spiking simulation.
The frame uses powder-coated, rust-resistant steel tubing for durability, mounted on a sturdy tri-pod base with lockable, non-marking casters for easy movement on the court, in the backyard, or in a garage. The unit's quick-disconnect leg design lets it break down almost instantly, fitting through any standard door and into the trunk of any car for storage or transport.
Assembly takes less than 20 minutes using only a 1/2" and 7/16" wrench, and the machine runs on 110V or 220V power, drawing 1.5 amps with a 20-amp service recommended for continuous use. It can also run on a portable 1000W-2000W inverter generator.
