The Douglas #42 Knotted Twisted HDPE Batting Tunnel Nets are constructed from #42 gauge twisted polyethylene with a 1-3/4 in. knotted square mesh, offering a clean appearance and easier hanging compared to unknotted alternatives. The knotted construction provides a high overall strength rating, making these nets well suited for direct impact applications such as batting cages and tunnels.

Polyethylene netting provides strong UV and weather resistance while naturally resisting water absorption, which makes the nets mildew resistant and helps them retain strength over extended outdoor or indoor use. Each net features reinforced sewn rope borders around the perimeter, with 6 ft. rope tails and sewn loops at the corners to simplify installation.

These tunnel nets are available in six standard sizes ranging from 12'H x 12'W x 35'L up to 12'H x 14'W x 75'L, and all include a convenient overlap-style entry door. For applications requiring non-standard dimensions, Douglas also offers custom fabrication using reinforced vinyl on the top and centers instead of rope borders.

3 year warranty

Douglas Industries, Inc. (Eldridge, Iowa) backs its equipment with the Douglas® Standard Limited Warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Douglas warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – gooseneck basketball posts with 6' extension.
25 years – gooseneck basketball posts with 4' extension.
10 years – gooseneck posts with 3' extension; pro-rated structural warranty on Bakko and steel/aluminum backboards (1 year on the Imron® finish); selected post and net systems.
7 years – Douglas® MAX batting tunnel frames (with proper installation and normal use).
5 years – standard Douglas® batting tunnel frames, most tennis / volleyball / pickleball post systems and Premier™ posts; 5-year fade warranty on Sunbrella® canvas.
4 years – VCP MAX windscreen mesh, #420 knotless pylon netting and other netting lines; fabrics are warranted pro-rata for 3–4 years against material defects and poor workmanship.
3 years – selected fabric and netting products.
2 years – selected hardware and padding.
1 year – accessories, replacement parts and paint / finish coverage.

Digital printing on windscreen and vinyl products carries the same warranty as the underlying windscreen or vinyl material.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations, abuse or misuse, normal wear, and damage from fire, flood, wind, lightning or leaving products outdoors beyond their intended seasonal use.
