The Douglas MAX Batting Tunnel Frame is a professional-grade steel frame system designed to support batting cage nets across single, double, triple, or custom multi-cage layouts. Its unique shared-pole design allows adjacent cages to share corner poles, reducing the total number of poles needed and minimizing ball interference and ricochet during practice.

Constructed from massive 16 ft. steel poles with an 8-5/8 in. outer diameter and .322 in. wall thickness, the poles are installed 4 ft. deep for a maximum installed net height of 11 ft. 6 in. A black powder coat finish provides weather resistance and long-term durability. Welded steel tabs at the top of each pole anchor a tension cable system made of 1/4 in. galvanized aircraft cable rated at 6,100 lb. break strength, with three cables run the length of the tunnel to keep the net taut without needing center or side supports.

All net-to-cable hardware, including quick links, turnbuckles, cable clamps, and carabiner clips, is included with the frame and made from long-lasting steel construction. Batting tunnel nets are sold separately, allowing buyers to choose the size and configuration that best fits their facility. The frame is backed by a 7-year limited warranty when installed properly and used as intended.

7-year limited warranty

Douglas Industries, Inc. (Eldridge, Iowa) backs its equipment with the Douglas® Standard Limited Warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Douglas warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – gooseneck basketball posts with 6' extension.
25 years – gooseneck basketball posts with 4' extension.
10 years – gooseneck posts with 3' extension; pro-rated structural warranty on Bakko and steel/aluminum backboards (1 year on the Imron® finish); selected post and net systems.
7 years – Douglas® MAX batting tunnel frames (with proper installation and normal use).
5 years – standard Douglas® batting tunnel frames, most tennis / volleyball / pickleball post systems and Premier™ posts; 5-year fade warranty on Sunbrella® canvas.
4 years – VCP MAX windscreen mesh, #420 knotless pylon netting and other netting lines; fabrics are warranted pro-rata for 3–4 years against material defects and poor workmanship.
3 years – selected fabric and netting products.
2 years – selected hardware and padding.
1 year – accessories, replacement parts and paint / finish coverage.

Digital printing on windscreen and vinyl products carries the same warranty as the underlying windscreen or vinyl material.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations, abuse or misuse, normal wear, and damage from fire, flood, wind, lightning or leaving products outdoors beyond their intended seasonal use.
