The Douglas Classic Batting Tunnel Frame is a heavy-duty steel frame system built from 14 ft, 4-inch square poles with a black powder coat finish, designed for custom batting tunnel installations up to 75 ft long and 14 ft wide. The Douglas Classic Baseball & Softball Batting Tunnel Frame is a proven design manufactured for over 30 years, built from six 14 ft, 4-inch square heavy-duty steel poles finished in black baked-on powder coat for weather resistance. The frame width is reinforced with 2-3/8 in. OD, 7-gauge galvanized steel crossbars that use Allied's zinc Flo-coat galvanization process for added protection.

Poles are set in 4 in. square, 24 in. aluminum ground sleeves, allowing for a maximum installed net height of 12 ft, with pole length adjustable to fit custom net widths and standard tunnel lengths of 55, 70, or 75 feet and widths of 12 or 14 feet. The support system uses 1/4 in. galvanized aircraft cable with a 6,100 lb. break strength running the length of the tunnel, along with quick links, turnbuckles, cable clamps, and carabiner clips for net attachment.

Available in single, double, or triple frame configurations, the double and triple systems share center poles to eliminate the need for extra poles and footings. Batting tunnel nets are sold separately and should be chosen based on tunnel size. The frame is backed by a 5-year limited warranty with proper installation and intended use.

5-year limited warranty

Douglas Industries, Inc. (Eldridge, Iowa) backs its equipment with the Douglas® Standard Limited Warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Douglas warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – gooseneck basketball posts with 6' extension.
25 years – gooseneck basketball posts with 4' extension.
10 years – gooseneck posts with 3' extension; pro-rated structural warranty on Bakko and steel/aluminum backboards (1 year on the Imron® finish); selected post and net systems.
7 years – Douglas® MAX batting tunnel frames (with proper installation and normal use).
5 years – standard Douglas® batting tunnel frames, most tennis / volleyball / pickleball post systems and Premier™ posts; 5-year fade warranty on Sunbrella® canvas.
4 years – VCP MAX windscreen mesh, #420 knotless pylon netting and other netting lines; fabrics are warranted pro-rata for 3–4 years against material defects and poor workmanship.
3 years – selected fabric and netting products.
2 years – selected hardware and padding.
1 year – accessories, replacement parts and paint / finish coverage.

Digital printing on windscreen and vinyl products carries the same warranty as the underlying windscreen or vinyl material.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations, abuse or misuse, normal wear, and damage from fire, flood, wind, lightning or leaving products outdoors beyond their intended seasonal use.
