The Durable Douglas Standard Backstop Cable System is a full pole-to-pole solution designed to eliminate the guesswork of setting up a professional backstop. It bundles the cable, hardware, custom netting, and poles required for a complete installation, framed with tensioned galvanized steel cable to keep the netting taut without sagging.
The system is built around 1/4 in. galvanized aircraft cable rated at 6,100 lb. breaking strength, along with 12 in. eyebolts, 12 in. and 6 in. turnbuckles, cable clamps, and carabiner clips, all in galvanized steel for durability. The poles are heavy-duty 10-3/4 in. OD x .375 in. wall steel finished in a weatherproof black powder coat, with other pole sizes available by request.
Netting is Douglas Professional #12 Knotted Dyneema in a 1-3/4 in. square mesh pattern, offering a 308 lb. break strength while maintaining 94% visibility for spectators. Made from twisted, knotted UHMPE material treated for UV and weather resistance, the netting perimeter is finished with a sewn rope border, and alternate netting options can be substituted. Backstop padding is quoted separately.
