In short

The Jaypro PROTF-70A is a professional outdoor batting tunnel frame for a seventy-foot cage, built from curved aluminum poles that hold the structure away from the net to reduce ricochets. It is a permanent installation with ground sleeves included, individual hoist lines for raising and removing the net, and this version carries the multiple tunnel adaptor. It is recommended for collegiate and high school programs.

The Professional Outdoor Batting Tunnel Frame uses curved aluminum tubing that offsets the supports away from the hitting area, so there is less structure for a batted ball to ricochet off. Individual hoist lines run over a cleat at each pole, which makes installing the net at the start of the season and taking it down at the end a straightforward job for a small crew.

The frame is designed for permanent installation and ships with ground sleeves. It accommodates both twelve and fourteen foot wide tunnel nets, and extra net length at the bottom keeps balls from rolling out under the cage. Tunnel nets are sold separately. This PROTF-70A configuration is the multiple tunnel adaptor version, for programs building stackable tunnel runs rather than a single stand-alone cage.

Warranty

Jaypro Sports (Waterford, Connecticut) warrants its equipment against defects in material and workmanship from the date of shipment. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Jaypro warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – glass basketball backboards (GBAFR-48, GBRUB-42, GBRUB-54) against breaks and cracks in the glass when used with a direct goal mount.
25 years – structure of wall-mounted basketball backstops and Shooting Station systems.
10 years – uprights on FeatherLite, PowerLite and Hybrid Steel volleyball net systems.
7 years – Collegiate competition basketball goals (GBA-542 "Shot", GBA-642 "Revolution").
5 years – Revolution Series 180° flex basketball goals.
3 years – the majority of the catalog: fixed and breakaway basketball goals, aluminum backboards, lacrosse and field hockey goals, floor sleeves, sleeve reducers and floor anchors, referee stands and equipment carriers.
1 year – bases, home plates and pitching rubbers, volleyball nets and net accessories (antennas, boundary tape, court lines), batting cage systems and general accessories.

The warranty covers factory defects under normal, intended use. Jaypro will repair, replace or refund the defective item at its discretion; claims require a Return Authorization (RMA) before any item is sent back.

Not covered: normal wear, weather exposure, cosmetic damage that does not affect function, improper installation, use other than intended, and any unauthorized alteration or modification of the original factory configuration. As an authorized Jaypro Sports dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

Is the net included with the PROTF-70A frame?

No. The tunnel net is sold separately. Jaypro recommends the BBCP-7014 net for the 70 ft. frame, and the structure accommodates both 12' and 14' wide tunnel nets.

How is this batting tunnel frame installed?

It is a permanent installation. Ground sleeves are included and the poles embed 2'-0" into the ground; the suggested footing is 24" diameter and 30" deep over concrete, block or crushed stone. Check local building codes before starting, as they may require more.

How is the net raised and lowered?

Each pole has an individual hoist line of 5/16" polyester double braided rope with a 6" cleat for anchoring and storing the rope, so the net can be raised for play and removed for the off-season.
