The Gared SGSA Soccer Goal Screw Anchors are a set of four zinc-plated screw anchors that secure portable soccer goals with 1-5/8" round backstays. Each anchor is an 8-1/2" long wire formed screw weldment that clamps over the backstay with a heavy bracket, reducing the risk of a goal tipping over. One kit anchors a single goal and is not intended for sandy or loose soil.

Portable soccer goals can fall over and cause serious injury, which is why the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises anchoring or counterweighting them at all times. The Gared SGSA kit answers that with four screw anchors sized for goals that use 1-5/8" diameter backstays.

Each anchor weldment is an 8-1/2" (215 mm) long zinc-plated wire formed screw that turns into the turf, joined to a heavy clamping bracket that fits over the backstay tube. Steel construction with a zinc plated finish keeps the hardware serviceable through repeated seasonal installs and removals.

One kit contains four anchors, the full set for a single goal. The anchors are not to be used in sandy or loose soil conditions, where the screw cannot develop holding power; goals should also be used only on level fields and secured face-to-face or chained when out of play. Shipping weight is 7 lbs via UPS.

Warranty

1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in material or factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
