In short

The Gared FGP602SW is a pair of collegiate gooseneck football goalposts for permanent (or sleeve) mounting, finished in white powdercoat. The goal measures 30' high with a 6' offset and 18'-6" college upright spacing, using a 5-9/16" O.D. gooseneck post, a 4-1/2" O.D. crossbar and 2-3/8" O.D. aluminum uprights 20' above the crossbar. Wind flags are included; padding, concrete and the optional FGP600GS ground sleeve kit are not.

Score the championship field goal with the FGP602SW white football goalpost with permanent/sleeve mount installation. The unit uses a gooseneck design to meet all NCAA specs, and the 6' offset keeps the support post back from the end line so multiple sports can share the field.

The gooseneck post is 5-9/16" O.D. powdercoated over galvanized steel and the crossbar is 4-1/2" O.D. powdercoated over galvanized steel. Uprights are 2-3/8" O.D. powdercoated aluminum tube measuring 20' above the crossbar, spaced 18'-6" apart to college regulation, for an overall goal height of 30'. The crossbar retains level by set screws and a locking bolt, and wind flags are included.

For permanent installation the gooseneck post is set in a concrete footing approximately 36" in diameter and 48" deep, with the post extending approximately 38" into the footing; a threaded rod installed in the post prevents the goal post from rotating in the concrete. Concrete, rebar and gravel foundation are not included. If you want the goals removable, the standard unit can be used with the optional FGP600GS ground sleeve kit for semi-permanent installation - ordered separately.

The model is sold as a pair - it consists of (2) goal posts. Padding is not included with the unit; the optional GSPPAD4 protective post pad fits posts up to 6" O.D., stands 6' high, and is made of high density urethane foam covered with 18 oz. mildew and UV resistant coated vinyl in red, white, green, yellow, royal blue, black, purple, orange or gray.

Warranty

5-Year Limited Warranty on FGP Series football goalposts (material and factory workmanship)

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the sleeve-mount and plate-mount versions?

The FGP602SW is designed for permanent installation with the gooseneck post set directly in a concrete footing, and it can also be used with the optional FGP600GS ground sleeve kit for semi-permanent installation. The plate-mount model (FGP602PW) instead bolts to threaded anchors through a lower post plate and is not compatible with ground sleeves.

What size footing does it require?

A concrete footing approximately 36" in diameter and 48" deep, with the post extending approximately 38" into the footing. Concrete and rebar are not included.

Is this sold as one goalpost or a pair?

It is sold as a pair - model FGP602S consists of (2) goal posts. Wind flags are included; post padding is sold separately.
