The Gared FGP602PY is a pair of collegiate gooseneck football goalposts with permanent adjustable plate (surface) mounting, finished in yellow powdercoat. The goal measures 30' high with a 6' offset, 18'-6" college upright spacing, a 5-9/16" O.D. gooseneck post, a 4-1/2" O.D. crossbar and 2-3/8" O.D. aluminum uprights 20' above the crossbar. Wind flags are included; post padding and concrete are not.

Score the championship field goal with the FGP602PY yellow football goalpost with surface mount installation. The unit uses a gooseneck design to meet all NCAA specs, so the geometry is right for collegiate play, and the 6' offset keeps the support post well behind the end line so multiple sports can share the field.

The gooseneck post is 5-9/16" O.D. powdercoated over galvanized steel and the crossbar is 4-1/2" O.D. powdercoated over galvanized steel. Uprights are 2-3/8" O.D. aluminum tubing measuring 20' above the crossbar with 18'-6" college spacing, giving an overall goal height of 30'. On the PY version the gooseneck, crossbar and uprights are finished in yellow; the crossbar retains level by set screws and a locking bolt, and wind flags are included.

This is the plate-mount version: the post mounts with four 3/4" diameter threaded anchors through the lower post plate, and the threaded rod cast into the concrete foundation must be square with the field end line. Upright mounting anchors are installed in a concrete footing approximately 36" in diameter and 55" deep. Concrete and gravel foundation are not included, and this model is not compatible with ground sleeves.

The model is sold as a pair - it consists of (2) goal posts. Padding is not included; the optional GSPPAD4 protective post pad fits posts up to 6" O.D., stands 6' high, and is built from high density urethane foam covered with 18 oz. mildew and UV resistant coated vinyl in red, white, green, yellow, royal blue, black, purple, orange or gray.

Warranty

5-Year Limited Warranty on FGP Series football goalposts (material and factory workmanship)

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

How does the FGP602PY attach to the field?

It uses permanent adjustable plate mounting: the post mounts with four 3/4" diameter threaded anchors through the lower post plate, cast into a concrete foundation that must be square with the field end line. Upright mounting anchors sit in a concrete footing approximately 36" in diameter and 55" deep.

Can this model be used with ground sleeves?

No. This plate-mount model goal post is not compatible with ground sleeves. If you need a semi-permanent, removable setup, choose the sleeve-mount version (FGP602SY) with the FGP600GS ground sleeve kit.

Is padding included?

No, padding is not included with the unit. The optional GSPPAD4 protective post pad for posts up to 6" O.D. is 6' high and sold separately.
