The Gared SG3RD046PTW is a portable 4' x 6' Touchline recreational soccer goal with a 3" round white powdercoated frame. It is a small-sided goal for practice and recreational play, supplied here as a pair, and it must be anchored at all times when in use.

The SG3RD046PTW is the smallest goal in Gared's 3" round portable Touchline range, a 4' x 6' frame sized for small-sided games, shooting practice and youth recreational play. The portable design lets a coach set the goal box wherever it is needed on the pitch rather than committing to a fixed installation.

The frame is 3" round aluminium and steel construction finished in white powdercoat, assembled from connecting tubes, end caps and backstay attachment brackets. Assembly needs only basic tools: two socket wrenches with 9/16" sockets, a 1/2" wrench, a 3/16" Allen wrench and a rubber mallet, and Gared supplies a full 21-page installation, operators and maintenance manual with a bill of materials to check before you start.

Safety is the critical point with any movable goal. Gared requires anchors to be properly installed and used at all times except when the goal is being moved, that goals be used only on level fields, that nets be removed when the goal is not in use, and that unattended goals be anchored or chained to another goal or a sturdy fixture. Preventative maintenance inspections should be carried out at least once per year, more often under heavy use.

Warranty

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

Does the SG3RD046PTW need to be anchored?

Yes. Portable or movable soccer goals can fall over and cause serious injury or death, so Gared requires anchors to be properly installed and used at all times except when the goal is being moved. Unattended goals should also be anchored or chained to another goal or a sturdy fixture.

What tools are needed to assemble the goal?

Two socket wrenches, two 9/16" sockets, a 1/2" wrench, a 3/16" Allen wrench and a rubber mallet. Gared recommends assembly by a properly trained individual and that no one under the age of 18 attempt assembly unless properly supervised.

How should the goals be stored out of season?

Fully disassemble the goals for seasonal storage, remove the nets when the goals are not in use, and store movable goals where children cannot access them.
