In short

The Gared FGP401PW is a pair of white high school football goalposts on a 4-1/2" O.D. gooseneck post with permanent adjustable plate (surface) mounting. Aluminum uprights stand 20'-0" above the crossbar at regulation 23'-4" high school spacing, with a 5'-0" offset behind the end line, and wind flags plus 3/4-10 J-bolts and rebar are included. This model is not compatible with ground sleeves.

Score the championship field goal with the FGP401PW white football goalpost with surface mount installation. The 4-1/2" O.D. gooseneck post supports the crossbar and 20' tall high school regulation uprights on 23'-4" spacing, and the 5' offset keeps the base back from the end line so multiple sports can share the field.

The gooseneck post and crossbar are powder coated over galvanized steel and the uprights are heavy wall aluminum tubing, all finished in white. The crossbar retains level by set screws and a locking bolt. Instead of embedding the post, this plate mount version bolts down through the lower post plate with four 3/4" diameter threaded anchors; the 3/4-10 threaded J-bolts and rebar are included and must be cast square with the field end line.

Upright mounting anchors are installed in a concrete footing approximately 36" in diameter and 56" deep; concrete and gravel drainage are not included. This model is not compatible with ground sleeves - the FGP401SW permanent/sleeve version covers that installation. Optional GSPPAD4 protective post pads fit posts up to 6" O.D. and are 6' high; padding is not included with the unit.

Warranty

5-Year Limited Warranty against defects in material or factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

How does the surface mount version anchor to the field?

The post mounts with four 3/4" diameter threaded anchors through the lower post plate. The 3/4-10 threaded J-bolts and rebar are included and are cast into a concrete foundation that must be square with the field end line.

Can the FGP401PW be used with ground sleeves?

No. This plate mount model is not compatible with ground sleeves. For sleeve or permanent embedded installation, the FGP401SW permanent/sleeve mount version is the correct model.

What footing size does it require?

Upright mounting anchors are installed in a concrete footing approximately 36" in diameter and 56" deep. Concrete and gravel for the installation are not included.
