In short

The Gared FGP601SW is a pair of white high school football goalposts built on a heavy 5-9/16" O.D. gooseneck post for permanent or ground-sleeve installation. Powder coated aluminum uprights stand 20'-0" above the 4-1/2" crossbar at regulation 23'-4" high school spacing, with a 6'-0" offset behind the end line. Wind flags are included; padding and concrete are not.

Score the championship field goal with the FGP601SW white football goalpost with permanent or sleeve mount installation. The 5-9/16" O.D. gooseneck post supports the crossbar and 20' tall high school regulation uprights on 23'-4" spacing, and the 6' offset allows multiple sports to share the field.

The gooseneck post and crossbar are powder coated over galvanized steel, and the uprights are heavy wall aluminum tubing powder coated white. The crossbar retains level by set screws and a locking bolt, and a threaded rod installed in the post prevents the goalpost from rotating in the concrete. Wind flags are supplied with the goals.

For permanent installation the gooseneck post extends approximately 38" into a concrete footing roughly 36" in diameter and 48" deep; concrete and gravel are not included. The same standard unit can be set semi-permanently using the optional FGP600GS ground sleeve kit, which is installed in a concrete footing to its own specification. Optional GSPPAD4 protective post pads fit posts up to 6" O.D. and stand 6' high for areas where body contact may occur.

Warranty

5-Year Limited Warranty against defects in material or factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

Can the FGP601SW be removed after the season?

The standard unit is designed for permanent installation with the post embedded roughly 38" into the footing, but semi-permanent installation is possible using the optional FGP600GS ground sleeves, which are set in a concrete footing to the FGP600GS specification.

What are the upright dimensions?

Uprights are 2-3/8" O.D. powder coated aluminum tube measuring 20' above the crossbar, spaced 23'-4" apart for high school play. The complete goal measures 30' high with a 6' offset.

Is this goalpost sold individually or as a pair?

The FGP601S model consists of two goal posts. Parts quantities in the installation manual are listed for one goal because FGP goals are sold in pairs.
