In short

The Jaypro SBCFP-12SM is a 12 ft. collegiate softball foul pole in the surface-mount configuration. It uses a one-piece 3-1/2" O.D. heavy-duty steel post with a single 18" wide by 6 ft. high expanded metal wing panel, finished in powder coat over a galvanized under coat. The adjustable leveling plate lets it bolt to an existing concrete pad instead of being buried.

This collegiate-grade foul pole is built around a single-piece heavy-duty steel upright, so there are no field splices to work loose over seasons of weather and ball contact. The all-steel expanded metal wing panel gives umpires and outfielders a clear vertical reference above the fence line while letting wind pass through the structure.

The surface-mount version bolts down through an adjustable leveling plate, which makes it the right choice where a concrete pad already exists or where the pole may need to be removed. Corrosion protection comes from a galvanized under coat beneath the powder coated finish. Poles are installed with the panel aligned to the outfield fence and the outside of the pole flush with the outside of the foul line.

Jaypro Sports (Waterford, Connecticut) warrants its equipment against defects in material and workmanship from the date of shipment. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Jaypro warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – glass basketball backboards (GBAFR-48, GBRUB-42, GBRUB-54) against breaks and cracks in the glass when used with a direct goal mount.
25 years – structure of wall-mounted basketball backstops and Shooting Station systems.
10 years – uprights on FeatherLite, PowerLite and Hybrid Steel volleyball net systems.
7 years – Collegiate competition basketball goals (GBA-542 "Shot", GBA-642 "Revolution").
5 years – Revolution Series 180° flex basketball goals.
3 years – the majority of the catalog: fixed and breakaway basketball goals, aluminum backboards, lacrosse and field hockey goals, floor sleeves, sleeve reducers and floor anchors, referee stands and equipment carriers.
1 year – bases, home plates and pitching rubbers, volleyball nets and net accessories (antennas, boundary tape, court lines), batting cage systems and general accessories.

The warranty covers factory defects under normal, intended use. Jaypro will repair, replace or refund the defective item at its discretion; claims require a Return Authorization (RMA) before any item is sent back.

Not covered: normal wear, weather exposure, cosmetic damage that does not affect function, improper installation, use other than intended, and any unauthorized alteration or modification of the original factory configuration. As an authorized Jaypro Sports dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

How does the surface mount version differ from the in-ground pole?

The surface-mount pole bolts down through an adjustable leveling plate onto a prepared concrete base, while the permanent version is set into a footing. Everything above ground - the 3-1/2" O.D. one-piece post and the 18" x 6' expanded metal wing panel - is the same.

How tall is this foul pole?

The pole stands 12'-0" overall, with the 6' high wing panel in the upper section so it reads clearly above the outfield fence.
