The First Team Stellar Express is a recreational volleyball system designed with durable construction and versatile features. Its uprights are made from an external 3 Ā½ā outside diameter, Ā¼ā wall 6063-T6 aluminum powder coated tube, fitted with a non-marking footpad and capped at the top. The non-winch standards weigh approximately 30 lbs., while the winch end standard weighs approximately 35 lbs.
The net is one meter high, constructed from black polypropylene 3.5mm knotless woven webbing, featuring a Kevlar top rope and polypropylene bottom rope. Net height is infinitely variable from 36ā to 96ā, adjusted by a single threaded release knob per net corner and guided by an easy-to-read label. For safety, the system includes no less than Ā½ā thick foam padding with white vinyl cover for net ropes, and 1 Ā½ā thick high-density foam padding for uprights (72ā minimum height) in customerās choice of 12 school colors.
Net tensioning is managed by a 26:1 ratio worm gear winch with a 4ā diameter steel pulley for the top rope, a ratcheting style tensioner for the bottom rope, and no less than two ratchet type tensioners per side for the netās internal dowels. The complete system, which includes official boundary antennas, weighs 155 lbs.
