In short

The Gared 6619 is a one-court sleeved badminton system with two 6617 uprights of 1-1/2" square white powdercoated steel, the 6620 regulation net (21'-0" x 2'-6") and 6650 floor sleeves with 6430 brass plated swivel covers. Posts set on 22'-0" centers and lift out of the sleeves when the court is not in use, and an adjustable foot fine-tunes net height to 5'-1" at the posts.

The 6619 is designed for competition or recreational use in facilities that need the posts out of the way between sessions. The uprights drop into flush floor sleeves and lift straight back out, leaving only the brass plated cover plate visible on the playing surface.

Each model 6617 upright is 1-1/2" square steel tubing powder coated white, with a rope guide at the top for attaching the net and a rope clasp on the post for quick tensioning. The adjustable protective rubber foot at the bottom compensates for small sleeve depth variation so net height can be set accurately to 5'-1" (1.55 m) at the posts and 5'-0" (1.52 m) at the court centerline.

The included model 6620 net measures 21'-0" (6.40 m) long by 2'-6" (0.76 m) tall, built from durable 3/4" (19 mm) nylon mesh with vinyl borders, and is designed to connect to posts set on 22'-0" (6.71 m) centers.

Model 6650 floor sleeves are 10-1/4" long in heavy-gauge 1-3/4" square steel tubing, set in non-shrink grout 12" below the finished floor. Model 6430 covers are swivel type brass plated steel with a 6-3/16" diameter cover, cork gasket and a 6-1/2" diameter molded plastic recessed mounting flange whose screw holes are hidden when the cover is closed.

Warranty

1-Year Limited Warranty

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

How far apart are the badminton posts set?

The sleeves are set on 22'-0" (6.71 m) centers, which matches the 21'-0" model 6620 net. Contact a Gared representative before changing that spacing.

What floor work does installation require?

Cut a 4-3/4" to 5" diameter hole through the playing surface and the slab below, grout the sleeve in place, then counter bore a 6-1/4" diameter recess 9/16" deep so the floor plate sits flush. Allow the grout to cure before setting up the posts.

How is the net height set correctly?

The adjustable rubber foot at the bottom of each upright compensates for slight sleeve depth variation, letting the net be set to 5'-1" (1.55 m) at the posts. The net rope runs through the top guide down to the holder, and the bottom rope attachment is tied off.
