In short

The Gared OmniSteel 5105 is a one-court telescopic volleyball system supplied without floor sleeves and cover plates, for gyms that already have 3" sleeves installed. It includes the 5106 winch post, the 5107 end post with 3" O.D. telescopic padded steel uprights, a competition net, antennas and sideline markers. Net height is set with the sliding collar and pin-lock mechanism and tensioned with the ratchet winch.

The 5105 is the 5100 OmniSteel system less floor sleeves and cover plates. If a facility already has 3" in-floor sleeves grouted in, this is the version to order, since it avoids paying twice for hardware that is already in the slab.

Uprights are high strength 3.0" [73.5 mm] O.D. steel with a black powder coat finish and are the removable type, designed for use with below-floor sleeves or above-floor T-bases. Each upright carries an adjustable high impact rubber foot that protects the finished floor and allows precise net height trimming, with marked settings for men's and women's play. Net tension comes from a heavy duty self-locking ratchet winch with a compression clutch brake release, working through a high tensile nylon strap.

The net is 32' long by 39" wide with 4" square black nylon mesh rated at 250 lbs tensile strength, a 1" wood dowel, and a double-stitched 2" vinyl coated polyester hem. It floats freely on a 1/8" diameter 7 x 19 steel cable with a 1,760 lbs minimum breaking strength, so it centers quickly on the court lines. Upright pads are single-piece 72" units of 1-1/2" cross-linked polyethylene foam in 14-ounce nylon reinforced vinyl, and the antennas are 3/8" fiberglass rods 72" long. The system meets grade school, middle school, YMCA, club, USVBA, NFHS and NCAA requirements.

Warranty

10 years on uprights / 3 years on winch assembly

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
