The Gared PK4551 is a complete standard-duty outdoor basketball package built around a 4-1/2" O.D. adjustable straight post with a 4' extension arm and a 48" safe play area. The package includes the AAB45-26 post, AAB45-27 arm, model 1260B 42" x 60" marked steel backboard, model 240 fixed double rim, AAB35-12 brace and the 15A453943 brace kit.

The PK4551 straight post system is intended for schoolyards, municipal parks and recreation facilities - outdoor courts that need a complete, straightforward backstop rather than an adjustable-height competition unit. Everything needed for one basket ships in the package.

The 4-1/2" O.D. straight post (AAB45-26) pairs with the AAB45-27 extension arm to give a 4' extension and a 48" safe play area between the backboard and the post, keeping players clear of the pole under the basket. The AAB35-12 brace and 15A453943 brace kit tie the board back to the post; no strut is required on this configuration.

The package is completed by the model 1260B backboard - 42" x 60" marked steel - and the model 240 fixed double rim, a combination sized for durable playground and park use. Installation and assembly are covered by the Gared straight post backboard system manual.

The complete PK4551 package ships by truck at 372 lbs / 168.74 kg in a 162" long crate.

Warranty

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
