In short

The Gared GP12A72DM All Pro Jam is an outdoor adjustable basketball system with a 6" x 8" rectangular steel post (3/16" wall), a 42" x 72" BB72A38 acrylic backboard and a Gared 2000+ collegiate breakaway rim. The lockable sidewind actuator sets the goal anywhere between 7'-0" and 10'-0", and the patented Quick-Connect system speeds up outdoor installation. Padding is not included.

The All-Pro Jam GP12A72DM is built for parks, playgrounds and residential courts that need a durable adjustable basketball system outdoors. Its 6" x 8" rectangular steel post with 3/16" wall thickness carries two formed steel extension arms joined by a large diameter pivot bolt, with tight fit non-metallic flanged bearings at every pivot point.

A heavy duty lockable actuator raises and lowers the board and goal to any height between 7'-0" and 10'-0", covering youth through competitive play. At the 10'-0" playing height the arms hold the backboard 4'-0" (48") off the post for a clear safe play area, and the patented Quick-Connect bracket on the main lift arm simplifies board attachment during installation.

The backboard is the Gared BB72A38 rectangular acrylic, 42" high by 72" wide, using 3/8" thick acrylic permanently attached to a steel tubular frame with aluminum extrusions. It is fitted with the Gared 2000+ Collegiate Breakaway Goal - an official 18" ring of 5/8" diameter steel with full wing brace, continuous no-tie net attachment, orange powder coat finish and nylon net.

The post is surface mounted with a bolt-to-ground template plate and 3/4" zinc plated U-bolts, which also makes the system transportable later. Budget 1/2 yard of concrete or 14-16 bags of 80 lb pre-mix for the footing. Finished weight is 449 lbs / 204 kg. Padding is not included; LSCE72 board padding and PP8WR, PP8SQF or BP8SQ pole pads are available separately.

Warranty

1-Year Limited Warranty

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the acrylic and glass All Pro Jam boards?

The GP12A72DM ships with the BB72A38 backboard using 3/8" thick acrylic. The glass version (GP12G72DM) uses the BB72G50HH board, and the polycarbonate version (GP12P72DM) uses BB72P50. All three share the same post and arm packages.

How is the goal height changed?

Engage the heavy duty lockable sidewind actuator on the post; the extension arms raise or lower the board and goal to any height between 7'-0" and 10'-0", then lock into place.

What is needed to install the GP12A72DM?

The post bolts to ground using the supplied template plate and 3/4" zinc plated U-bolts set in concrete - about 1/2 yard, or 14-16 bags of 80 lb pre-mix.
