The Ironclad TPT553-LG is an adjustable in-ground basketball system with a 60" x 36" x 1/2" tempered glass backboard, built for driveways or tighter backyard spaces thanks to its 3' offset. It's suited for players wanting a larger glass backboard without needing a full three-car driveway. The system ships with the backboard, 5"x5" steel pole, breakaway rim, post and backboard padding, and bolt-down anchor hardware.

The TPT553-LG pairs a 60" wide, 1/2" thick tempered glass backboard with a 5"x5" one-piece 7-gauge steel pole, giving it a larger playing surface while keeping a compact 3' offset from post to backboard. This makes it a fit for driveways or downsized backyard courts where space is limited but a bigger backboard is still wanted.

Height adjusts from 5.5' up to 10' using a spring-assist crank that carries the backboard's weight, with a rim height indicator for quick reference. The unit includes a breakaway rim and net, post and backboard padding, and is installed with a bolt-down anchor design that allows the goal to be relocated if the owner moves.

Steel components are protected with a zinc galvanized undercoat topped with black powder coat (Weather Shield) and assembled with stainless steel bolts. The unit ships via liftgate delivery and is backed by Ironclad's product warranty.

Warranty

Lifetime warranty (original owner, non-transferable) covers dunking/rim-hang damage; excludes vandalism and weather/UV wear; paint and padding limited to 1 year.

Every Ironclad Sports basketball system is backed by the manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what Ironclad's warranty covers:

Lifetime Warranty on the system - covers damage caused by any basketball related activity, including dunking and hanging on the rim.
GameChanger models - warrantied against dunking only.
Coating - all painted items carry a one-year limited warranty on the coating.
Padding - all post and backboard padding carries a one-year limited warranty.
Not covered - damage caused by vandalism, and normal wear and tear from weathering or UV exposure.

Frequently asked questions

How much space should I leave behind the pole?

Ironclad recommends about 18" of clearance from the back of the post to any wall or obstruction for easy cranking.

Can I move the hoop if I relocate?

Yes, the bolt-down anchor base lets you disconnect the unit from its concrete footing and reinstall it elsewhere with a new set of anchor bolts.

What's included with the system?

The unit includes the tempered glass backboard, breakaway rim and net, post and backboard padding, and stainless steel assembly bolts, delivered via liftgate.
