13″ Practice Basketball Hoop

The Model PR Practice Ring is a simple, purely mechanical shooting aid: it reduces the standard 18" [458 mm] goal opening to 16" [406 mm], so shots that would have rattled in off the rim now miss. Coaches use it to tighten shooting accuracy in practice, then remove it so players shoot at a full-size goal that suddenly feels generous.

The ring is formed from 1/2" diameter steel rod and finished in orange powdercoat for durability in a gym environment. Five mounting points made from formed flat bar stock fit over a standard goal ring; each has a rubber pad that rests against the goal ring so the finish is not damaged, and a locking screw that tightens against the standard ring to hold the practice ring in place.

The practice ring attaches to a standard goal with an 18" [457 mm] inside diameter, which is not included. At a shipping weight of 5 lbs it ships by UPS, so it is easy to move between gyms or keep in the equipment room between sessions.
