In short

The Gared PKAFR40PMLED is a complete gymnasium backboard package that removes the guesswork from matching board, rim, padding and lights. It includes the regulation 42" x 72" AFRG42 glass backboard, the multi-directional 4000 rim, PMCE backboard padding and Buzzer Beater perimeter LED lights. The LED strips wire back to the same controller that runs the scoreboard and shot clocks.

This package is specified for gyms that want a regulation competition backdrop without configuring each component separately. The board is the AFRG42 aluminum frame glass backboard at a regulation 42" x 72", paired with the multi-directional 4000 rim and PMCE padding.

The Buzzer Beater element is the model 2135 backboard perimeter LED light kit. Five strips are applied to the back side of the glass, one across the top, two at the bottom and two along the sides, positioned so the lens is visible through the glass while the mounting flange stays hidden behind the perimeter striping.

Wiring is straightforward: the strips snap together with male and female connectors, the supplied 30' power cable closes the loop at the center of the bottom strips, and a 3 pin XLR connector at the other end attaches to the scoreboard/clock controller, so the lights fire with the horn.

Warranty

Lifetime warranty on the AFRG42 aluminum frame glass backboard against defects in material or workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
