The Gared 8800 Endurance Break-Away Slam is a heavy duty playground breakaway goal with 18" double rings, a 3/4" diameter steel upper ring over a 5/8" diameter steel lower ring, a continuous welded wrap-around wing brace and a double spring flex breakaway with dual return springs. It meets NCAA and high school requirements, and its universal mounting plate fits most 42" and 48" rectangular and fan-shaped backboards. A nylon net and mounting hardware are included.

Gared positions the 8800 Endurance Breakaway Slam as the last playground goal a facility will need. The ring set is official size at 18", using an unusually heavy 3/4" diameter steel upper ring paired with a 5/8" diameter steel secondary lower ring, all supported by a thick, continuous welded wrap-around wing brace.

The breakaway uses a unique stack spring construction with dual return springs, so the goal deflects in proportion to the applied pressure and returns with consistent rebound behavior dunk after dunk. The goal meets NCAA and high school requirements.

The universal goal mounting plate fits the hole patterns of most 42" and 48" rectangular backboards and most fan-shaped backboards, and Gared's Goal-Board Matrix specification sheet lists exact board compatibility. The goal ships in an official orange powder coated finish complete with nylon net and mounting hardware.

Warranty

2-Year Limited Warranty (8800 Endurance Breakaway Goal)

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
