The posts feature an internally wound self-locking gear mechanism with a 30:1 ratio for smooth, easy net tensioning without recoil during winding. The main gear is plated steel and the small gear is case-hardened, housed in cast aluminum alloy gear housings and caps. The flush-mounted gear plate cover and removable handle are chrome plated for a clean finish and added safety and convenience.
