The Douglas F5 655 MAX Basketball System is a fixed-position outdoor hoop built for durability in institutional settings such as school playgrounds, parks, and municipalities. It features a 42 in. x 60 in. clear-view backboard with an aluminum perimeter frame and welded steel back frame for rigid, responsive play, available in either tempered glass or polycarbonate.

The system uses a 5 ft. angled fixed extension arm made from reinforced 5 in. x 5 in. steel that attaches directly to the backboard's perimeter frame, keeping the mount out of the play area for safety. The Pressure Flex Breakaway Goal is constructed from steel with a CSPC-compliant powder-coat finish, featuring a 5/8 in. thick, 18 in. rim and a double spring breakaway mechanism to withstand aggressive play.

Supporting the system is a 6 in. square galvanized steel pole with a 3/16 in. wall thickness, finished in black acrylic powder coat for corrosion resistance. The system ships with 2 in. thick form-fitted pole and base padding and pre-installed backboard padding for player safety.

Warranty

Douglas Industries, Inc. (Eldridge, Iowa) backs its equipment with the Douglas® Standard Limited Warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Douglas warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – gooseneck basketball posts with 6' extension.
25 years – gooseneck basketball posts with 4' extension.
10 years – gooseneck posts with 3' extension; pro-rated structural warranty on Bakko and steel/aluminum backboards (1 year on the Imron® finish); selected post and net systems.
7 years – Douglas® MAX batting tunnel frames (with proper installation and normal use).
5 years – standard Douglas® batting tunnel frames, most tennis / volleyball / pickleball post systems and Premier™ posts; 5-year fade warranty on Sunbrella® canvas.
4 years – VCP MAX windscreen mesh, #420 knotless pylon netting and other netting lines; fabrics are warranted pro-rata for 3–4 years against material defects and poor workmanship.
3 years – selected fabric and netting products.
2 years – selected hardware and padding.
1 year – accessories, replacement parts and paint / finish coverage.

Digital printing on windscreen and vinyl products carries the same warranty as the underlying windscreen or vinyl material.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations, abuse or misuse, normal wear, and damage from fire, flood, wind, lightning or leaving products outdoors beyond their intended seasonal use.
