The Durable Gooseneck 5-9/16" RPGR Basketball System from Douglas is engineered for extreme outdoor play, featuring a 5-9/16 in. O.D. gooseneck post with a 6 ft. extension formed from heavy wall galvanized steel. Each post stands approximately 13 ft. tall, with 3 ft. installed in a 4 ft. x 2 ft. concrete footing for long-term stability, and includes a welded backboard mounting plate for hassle-free attachment.

The system pairs with a 42 in. x 60 in. rectangular clear acrylic backboard, made from 3/8 in. thick shatter-proof acrylic that resists fading, fogging, clouding, scuffs, and abrasions. The backboard is encased in an all-aluminum frame with a welded steel back frame and a standard 5 in. x 5 in. hole pattern, backed by a 10-year limited warranty.

Completing the system is a Flex Breakaway Rim offering accordion-like breakaway action, suitable for institutional and recreational settings that need breakaway performance without a positive lock mechanism. The rim's no-tie attachment and universal backplate make it compatible with most non-competition backboard and rim combinations, and it carries a 2 year warranty. Limited Lifetime Warranty (posts); 10 Year limited warranty (backboard); 2 year warranty (rim)

Douglas Industries, Inc. (Eldridge, Iowa) backs its equipment with the Douglas® Standard Limited Warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Douglas warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – gooseneck basketball posts with 6' extension.
25 years – gooseneck basketball posts with 4' extension.
10 years – gooseneck posts with 3' extension; pro-rated structural warranty on Bakko and steel/aluminum backboards (1 year on the Imron® finish); selected post and net systems.
7 years – Douglas® MAX batting tunnel frames (with proper installation and normal use).
5 years – standard Douglas® batting tunnel frames, most tennis / volleyball / pickleball post systems and Premier™ posts; 5-year fade warranty on Sunbrella® canvas.
4 years – VCP MAX windscreen mesh, #420 knotless pylon netting and other netting lines; fabrics are warranted pro-rata for 3–4 years against material defects and poor workmanship.
3 years – selected fabric and netting products.
2 years – selected hardware and padding.
1 year – accessories, replacement parts and paint / finish coverage.

Digital printing on windscreen and vinyl products carries the same warranty as the underlying windscreen or vinyl material.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations, abuse or misuse, normal wear, and damage from fire, flood, wind, lightning or leaving products outdoors beyond their intended seasonal use.
