This Douglas Gooseneck 5-9/16" RST Basketball System is built for extreme outdoor play, using a 5-9/16" O.D. gooseneck post with a 6' extension formed from heavy wall galvanized Schedule 40 steel. The post stands approximately 13' tall, with 3' set into a 4' x 2' concrete footing for long-term stability, and includes a welded backboard mounting plate for straightforward attachment.

The RST (Rectangular Steel) backboard measures 42" x 60" and is made from a 12 gauge steel shell with a white powder-coat finish, printed target and border, and an integral reinforcing steel channel on the back for added support. It uses 20" x 35" mounting centers and integral keyhole slots with 5" x 5" hole spacing for direct mounting and easy goal replacement without removing the board.

The system ships with a Dura Goal I front-mount rim, featuring an 18" double steel ring with 5/8" top and 1/2" bottom rings, dual 5/8" x 15" bracing, a universal backplate, and a nylon net. This fixed rim is not recommended for use with glass backboards. The complete package weighs 505 lbs and is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the post, a 10-Year Limited Warranty on the backboard, and a 2-Year Limited Warranty on the rim.

Douglas Industries, Inc. (Eldridge, Iowa) backs its equipment with the Douglas® Standard Limited Warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Douglas warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – gooseneck basketball posts with 6' extension.
25 years – gooseneck basketball posts with 4' extension.
10 years – gooseneck posts with 3' extension; pro-rated structural warranty on Bakko and steel/aluminum backboards (1 year on the Imron® finish); selected post and net systems.
7 years – Douglas® MAX batting tunnel frames (with proper installation and normal use).
5 years – standard Douglas® batting tunnel frames, most tennis / volleyball / pickleball post systems and Premier™ posts; 5-year fade warranty on Sunbrella® canvas.
4 years – VCP MAX windscreen mesh, #420 knotless pylon netting and other netting lines; fabrics are warranted pro-rata for 3–4 years against material defects and poor workmanship.
3 years – selected fabric and netting products.
2 years – selected hardware and padding.
1 year – accessories, replacement parts and paint / finish coverage.

Digital printing on windscreen and vinyl products carries the same warranty as the underlying windscreen or vinyl material.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations, abuse or misuse, normal wear, and damage from fire, flood, wind, lightning or leaving products outdoors beyond their intended seasonal use.
