The First Team Brute Excel Basketball System features a 42”x 72” rectangular steel backboard with a white powder coat finish and an official orange shooters square. Its vertical pole is 5 9/16” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing, designed for a 48” bury and 72” setback. The system includes a double 5/8” diameter high strength steel rim with a continuous net locking system and carries a Lifetime Unconditional Warranty on the pole, backboard, and standard rim.

The Brute Excel Basketball System features a vertical pole constructed of 5 9/16” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing, designed for a 48” bury into the ground and a 72” setback from the post to the backboard. Its backboard attachment is telescoping, allowing for up to 78” extension if desired. Two 1” round tubular braces support the top corners of the backboard and connect directly to the pole. The pole is designed so the rim mounts directly through the backboard into the horizontal extension to eliminate backboard stress during play.

The system includes a 42”x 72” rectangular steel backboard with an 11-gauge steel skin and ¼” thick vertical struts. The backboard has a white powder coat finish and an official orange shooters square. The standard rim is fabricated from 3/16” backplates and side plates, fully welded, and constructed from double 5/8” diameter high strength steel welded together at a minimum of six places. The entire rim is powder coated orange, and nets attach via a continuous net locking system made of 3/16”x 1” steel with punched slots, with a nylon net included.

The entire system weighs approximately 490#. The pole, backboard, and standard rim are covered by a Lifetime Unconditional Warranty.

Lifetime Unconditional Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
