The Brute III Basketball System is engineered with a robust vertical pole constructed from 5 9/16” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing, designed for a 48” bury into the ground and a 72” setback from the post to the backboard. Its design incorporates two 1” round tubular braces to support the backboard’s top corners, connecting directly to the pole. A notable feature is the rim's direct mounting through the backboard into the horizontal extension, a design choice specifically implemented to eliminate backboard stress during play.

Supporting the backboard is a durable H-Frame structure made of 1 ½” square x 11 gauge tubing, standing 36” tall, and featuring mounting slots for industry standard 20”x35” configurations. This H-Frame includes a faceplate no less than 3/16” thick, ensuring rim bolts pass through the backboard and into the H-Frame itself, thereby preventing backboard breakage from added weight on the rim. The backboard itself is a 36”x 54” rectangular, 1/2” thick acrylic board, framed with a 1/8” thick anodized aluminum framework and marked with a bright white 2” border and an official shooters square screened on the backside to prevent wear.

The system's flexible rim is built for institutional quality, designed to absorb player contact stress through a heavy-duty compression wire spring and a steel coverplate enclosing its internal mechanism. All structural components of the rim are constructed of no less than 3/16” steel, featuring an official 5/8” diameter high strength steel ring supported by a 3/16” brace covering 60% of the ring. The rim is punched for either a 3”x 4” or 5”x 5” hole pattern and finished with an orange powdercoating. The entire system has an approximate weight of 450#, and the pole, backboard, and standard rim are all covered by a Lifetime Unconditional Warranty.

Lifetime Unconditional Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
