The Brute Select Basketball System is built with a vertical pole of 5 9/16” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing, engineered for a 48” bury into the ground. It provides a 72” setback from the post to the backboard, and the backboard attachment is telescoping, allowing for up to 78” extension. The pole system incorporates two 1” round tubular braces to support the top corners of the backboard, connecting directly to the pole, ensuring the rim mounts directly through the backboard into the horizontal extension to eliminate backboard stress during play.

An H-Frame structure, constructed from 1 ½” square x 11 gauge tubing and 36” tall, is provided with the wall structure. This H-Frame includes mounting slots for industry standard 20”x35” patterns and features a faceplate no less than 3/16” thick, which allows rim bolts to pass through the backboard and into the H-Frame. The backboard itself is 36”x 60” rectangular acrylic, 1/2” thick, and framed with a 1/8” thick anodized aluminum framework. It is marked with a bright white 2” border and an official shooters square screened on the backside to eliminate wear.

The standard rim is a flexible, institutional quality type, designed to absorb the stress of player contact through a heavy-duty compression wire spring. Its internal mechanism is enclosed by a steel coverplate, and all structural components are built of no less than 3/16” steel. The rim features an official 5/8” diameter high strength steel ring, supported by a 3/16” brace covering 60% of the ring. It is punched to accommodate either a 3”x 4” or 5”x 5” hole pattern and comes with an orange powdercoated finish. The entire system has an approximate weight of 454# and includes a Lifetime Unconditional Warranty covering the pole, backboard, and standard rim.

Lifetime Unconditional Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
