The First Team FT186ZC Flex Basketball Rim is an institutional quality, flexible goal engineered to absorb the shock of player contact. Its spring action is powered by dual heavy-duty wire springs, and the net lock system is of a continuous type, designed to reduce breakage common with individually welded net locks. All structural components of the rim are no less than 3/16" thick.

The rim features an official size 5/8" high strength steel ring, supported by a 3/16" x 1 ½" rim support welded around 60% of the bottom of the ring. A minimum ½" diameter CF1045 single pivot pin is welded at final assembly to prevent unsafe accidental disassembly, and internal mechanisms are enclosed by a steel cover plate. The rim is punched for attachment to any standard institutional front mount backboard.

This basketball rim boasts an orange powder coat finish and comes with a heavy-duty nylon net and mounting hardware. The product is made in the USA, carries a 2-Year Limited Warranty, and weighs approximately 21#.

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
