The First Team FT187R Super-Duty Rear Mount Flex Goal features a flexible rim designed to absorb player contact shock, with spring action provided by two heavy-duty wire springs. It incorporates a continuous netlock system, which helps to reduce breakage commonly associated with individually welded netlocks.

Constructed for institutional quality, the rim’s structural components are no less than 3/16" thick, supporting an official sized 5/8" high strength steel ring. The rim support measures 3/16" x 1 ½" and is welded around 60% of the bottom ring. A minimum ½" diameter CF1045 single pivot pin is welded at final assembly to prevent accidental disassembly, and a steel coverplate encloses all internal mechanisms.

The FT187R rim is punched to attach to any standard rear mount backboard and has an orange powdercoat finish. It includes a heavy-duty nylon net and mounting hardware. This product is made in the USA, weighs approximately 25#, and carries a 2-Year Superior Warranty.

2-Year Superior Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
