The First Team FT190 Competition Economy Breakaway Goal is constructed with a 5/8" diameter steel ring, which has an official 18" inside diameter and a continuous wire net lock attachment. All backplate components are made of 3/16" thick steel, and the mounting plate is punched with hole patterns for both 5"x 5" and 5"x4" mounting patterns. A ¼" x 1 ½" steel rim support brace provides continuous support around 50% of the ring.

The goal features a positive lock, factory preset breakaway mechanism, incorporating an automatic return system with dual return springs that also cushion the breakaway action. Proper breakaway pressure is ensured by a ball/detent mechanism with two hardened steel balls contained in a tubular assembly. For player safety, all pinch points are eliminated, and all components are coated with an official orange powder coated finish.

A white nylon net and mounting hardware are provided with the goal. The rim carries a 1-Year Limited Warranty and weighs approximately 23#.

1-Year Limited Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
