The First Team FT54 TuffGuard Recreational Backboard Padding features cellular construction with a skin that has an average minimum thickness of .06” and a minimum strength of 125 psi. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, this padding is specially engineered to shed rainwater. It is compatible with all brands and styles of 54” wide rectangular backboards and mounts using provided self-drilling screws.

The padding system incorporates a steel track molded into the padding for enhanced rigidity and strength. It consists of two “L” shaped segments that join in the center with molded line-up stubs. The corners are molded square, eliminating the need for mitering, gluing, or forming during attachment. All accompanying hardware is zinc-plated. The padding is available in various colors, with color continuous throughout its thickness, and carries a 1-Year Limited Warranty. The approximate shipping weight is 7# each.

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
