The Thunder Arena Portable Basketball System from First Team features a robust all-steel construction, utilizing 3”x5” x 3/16 gage steel tubing for the main upright and 2”x4” x 11 gage steel tubing for the telescoping member and extension arm. The system is infinitely adjustable in height from the standard 10’ down to 6’6” through an easy-to-use “EZ-Crank” worm-gear mechanism. The design allows for a minimum 48” setback from the backboard to the base when the rim is at 10’.

The system's all-steel base measures 48” across the front for stability and is designed to accept 23 solid cement blocks, totaling 690 lbs, for ballast. Portability is achieved via six 4” non-marking wheels, with the front two wheels easily raised or lowered using a crank handle for one-person positioning. For player safety, the unit is equipped with 2” thick foam padding, mounted on 7/16” wafer board and covered with a 14 oz reinforced vinyl laminate, which does not need to be removed during adjustment, transportation, or storage.

The system includes a 1/2” thick tempered glass backboard with bright white ceramic screening, framed by clear anodized aluminum extrusions, measuring approximately 72” wide and 42” high. The rim is a flexible, institutional quality unit with an official 5/8” diameter ring and 18” I.D. opening, orange powder coated and designed for dunking, complemented by a heavy-duty nylon net. All surfaces, except the zinc plated silver inner telescoping member, are finished with a powdercoat black. The entire system, weighing approximately 1060#, is backed by a Lifetime Superior Warranty.

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
