The Storm Arena Portable Basketball System is an all-steel construction, weighing approximately 1290#. Its base, measuring 48” across the front, is designed to accept 720 lbs of ballast (24 solid cement blocks, 4”x 8”x 16” at 30 lbs each) and features four large 8” non-marking wheels for single-person portability, with the front two wheels on self-locking castors. The unit is equipped with standard 2” thick foam padding on its base, uprights, and ballast box, with 1 ½” thick foam for side and ballast box pads. This padding is mounted on 7/16” wafer board, covered with a 14 oz reinforced vinyl laminate, and secured by 2” velcro attachment straps, which do not require removal during folding, adjustment, transportation, or storage.

Operation is facilitated by a Spring-Assist system, utilizing six 3 ½” painted coil springs to support the weight of the backboard, rim, extension boom, padding, and uprights, allowing one-person setup and adjustment without hydraulics. Rim height is adjustable in six-inch increments from 10’ down to 6’ via a removable adjustment pin, with the backboard-to-base extension variable from 54” to 66”. Key components include a 1/2” thick tempered glass backboard with bright white fire impregnated ceramic screening and a clear anodized aluminum “F” type extrusions frame, measuring approximately 72” wide and 42” high. Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
