The First Team Sport III Basketball Goal is engineered for durability with a one-piece 4" square vertical pole of minimum 11 gauge wall thickness designed to be buried 36" in concrete. The pole features a watertight vinyl cap and is finished with polyester powder-coated black. All steel components are welded using maximum penetration, continuous MIG welds for optimal strength.

The system includes a 45-degree 2"x3" rectangular steel extension arm providing 24" of extension from pole to backboard face, secured by two 4" zinc plated U-bolts and supported by two 1" round backboard braces. The 36"x54" acrylic backboard (1/2" thick) is framed with 1/8" anodized aluminum and features a bright white 2" border with an official shooters square screened on the backside.

The institutional-quality rim is flexible with a heavy-duty compression wire spring, featuring an official 5/8" diameter high-strength steel ring supported by a 3/16" brace that supports 60% of the ring. A steel coverplate encloses the entire internal mechanism, and the rim mounts either 3"x4" or 5"x5" hole patterns with orange powdercoated finish. The complete system weighs approximately 155# and includes a Lifetime Limited Warranty on the pole, backboard, and standard rim.

Lifetime Limited Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
