The Legacy III Basketball System features a one-piece 4" square 11 gauge steel pole designed for a 36" in-ground burial. The Legacy III Basketball System is built with a robust one-piece 4" square vertical pole, featuring an 11 gauge wall thickness, designed for a 36" deep concrete burial. All steel pole components are welded using a maximum penetration, continuous weld, MIG procedure and finished with a polyester powder-coated black. It includes a watertight vinyl cap to seal out moisture.

The system features a 45-degree extension arm constructed from 4"x4" rectangular 11 gauge steel tubing, providing a 36" extension from the pole to the backboard face. This arm is secured to the vertical post with two 4" zinc plated U-bolts and is supplemented by an H-Frame for additional backboard support. The backboard itself is a 36"x 54" rectangular acrylic, 1/2" thick, framed by 1/8" thick anodized aluminum, and includes a bright white 2" border and an official shooter's square screened on the backside.

A flexible, institutional-quality rim is included, featuring heavy-duty compression wire spring action enclosed by a steel coverplate. Its structural components are made from no less than 3/16" steel, with a 5/8" diameter high strength steel ring supported by a 3/16" brace covering 60% of the ring. The rim has an orange powder-coated finish and is punched for either a 3"x 4" or 5"x 5" hole pattern. The entire system weighs approximately 205# and comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty on the pole, backboard, and standard rim.

Lifetime Limited Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
