The First Team Legend Playground Basketball System features a 6” square 3/16” wall steel pole for 48” concrete burial and a minimum 66” extension from the pole to the backboard. It includes an approximately 42”x 60” rectangular steel backboard with a white graffiti-resistant finish and an orange shooters square, and a standard orange powdercoated rim adjustable from 6’ to 10’ in height. The First Team Legend Playground Basketball System is engineered for durability, featuring a robust 6” square 3/16” wall steel vertical pole designed for a 48” concrete bury, complete with a watertight steel cap. All steel pole components are welded using a maximum penetration, continuous weld, MIG procedure and finished with a polyester powder-coated black finish. The main 45-degree extension arm, also 6” square 3/16” wall steel tubing, provides a minimum of 66” extension from the pole to the backboard face, supported by a 4” square 1/8” wall secondary arm tube.

The system includes an approximately 42”x 60” rectangular steel backboard, featuring a 10 gauge steel skin and ¼” thick vertical struts. This backboard has a white graffiti-resistant powdercoat finish and an official orange shooters square. The standard rim is fabricated from 3/16” backplates and sideplates, with double 5/8” diameter high strength steel welded in at least six places, and is powdercoated orange. The rim height is adjustable from 6’ to 10’.

Both the backboard and rim are securely attached; the backboard mounting plate is ¼” thick and extends the full height of the backboard, mounted at four places top and bottom. The rim mounting system uses four high strength steel bolts passing through the rim, backboard, and pole, directly transferring weight to the pole structure. The system, which weighs approximately 500#, comes with a nylon net and carries a Lifetime Unconditional Warranty on the pole, backboard, and standard rim.

Lifetime Unconditional Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
