The First Team Renegade III Basketball Goal features a robust vertical pole constructed from 4 ½" O.D. RS40 zinc flow coated steel tubing with a 7 ga. wall thickness. This pole is designed for a 48" ground bury and provides a 48" setback from the post to the backboard. Two 1" round galvanized tubular braces support the top corners of the backboard, connecting directly to the pole, and the rim mounts directly through the backboard into the horizontal extension to prevent backboard stress.

The system includes a 36"x 54" rectangular acrylic backboard, which is 1/2" thick and framed with a 1/8" thick anodized aluminum framework. The backboard features a bright white 2" border and an official shooters square screened on the backside. The flexible, institutional quality rim has a 5/8" diameter high strength steel ring, supported by a 3/16" brace, and is finished with an orange powdercoat. Its internal mechanism, including a heavy duty compression wire spring, is enclosed by a steel coverplate, and it is punched to accommodate either a 3"x 4" or 5"x 5" hole pattern.

The entire Renegade III system has an approximate weight of 240#. The pole, backboard, and standard rim are covered by a 20-Year Limited Warranty.

20-Year Limited Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
