The First Team Sport II is built around a one-piece 4" square vertical pole with a minimum 11 gauge wall thickness, designed to be buried 36" in concrete and sealed with a watertight vinyl cap to prevent moisture intrusion.

Its 45 degree extension arm uses 2"x3" rectangular 11 gauge wall steel tubing to provide a 24" extension from the pole to the backboard, with rim bolts passing directly through the backboard into the extension arm for added strength and safety. The arm is secured with two 4" zinc plated U-bolts, and two 1" round backboard braces support the upper corners of the backboard.

The system includes a 36"x48" acrylic backboard (3/8" thick) framed in 1/8" anodized aluminum with a bright white 2" border, paired with an institutional-quality flexible rim (5/8" diameter ring, 18" I.D.) finished in orange powder coat and fitted with a heavy-duty nylon net. The pole, backboard, and standard rim are backed by a Lifetime Limited Warranty, and the complete system weighs approximately 145#.

Lifetime Limited Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
