The First Team Storm Select Portable Basketball System features a robust all-steel construction, including heavy gauge 2”x 5” rectangular tubing uprights and a 4”x 4” square tubing main extension boom. Its base, measuring 48” across the front for stability, is designed to accept 24 solid cement blocks, totaling 720 lbs of ballast (not included). Mobility is ensured by four large 8” non-marking wheels, with the front two featuring self-locking castors for easy one-person portability and secure positioning during play.

This system includes a 1/2” thick acrylic backboard with bright white screening and a clear anodized aluminum frame, measuring approximately 60” wide and 36” high. The institutional quality rim, with an official 5/8” diameter ring and 18” I.D. opening, is orange powder coated and directly mounted to the extension boom to eliminate backboard stress, providing a flexible type goal with a heavy-duty nylon net. Height is adjustable from regulation 10’ down to 6’ in six-inch increments via a removable adjustment pin, aided by a spring-assist system (no hydraulics) featuring four 3 ½” painted coil springs for easy one-person operation. The unit is equipped with 2” thick foam padding (1 ½” thick for side and ballast box pads) on 7/16” wafer board, covered with 14 oz reinforced vinyl laminate, which is secured by 2” velcro straps and doesn't need to be removed during folding or transport.

The entire unit is finished with a black powdercoat, with the rim specifically orange powder coated. All pivot points rotate on high load, maintenance free bushings. Lifetime Limited Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
