The First Team Tyrant Flight Basketball System features a vertical pole constructed from 6 5/8” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing. This pole is designed for a 48” bury into the ground, providing a stable foundation. It offers a 72” setback from the post to the backboard, with a telescoping backboard attachment allowing for up to 78” extension. The rim mounts directly through the backboard into the horizontal extension, a design feature to eliminate backboard stress during play. Two 1” round tubular braces provide support for the top corners of the backboard, connecting directly to the pole.

The system includes a 39”x 54” fan-shaped backboard made of 1 5/8” thick fiberglass. Its robust construction features front and back fiberglass composite laminates with a solid inner core of high density pressed wood. The backboard's front is marked with a gel-coat 2” border and an official shooters square. The standard rim is fabricated from fully welded 3/16” backplates and sideplates, featuring double 5/8” diameter high strength steel welded at a minimum of six places. The entire rim is powdercoated orange and includes a continuous netlocking system of 3/16”x 1” steel with punched slots for nylon or chain nets, with a nylon net included.

The entire system weighs approximately 490#. A Lifetime Unconditional Warranty covers the pole, backboard, and standard rim.

Lifetime Unconditional Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
