The First Team Tyrant III Basketball System features a 6 5/8” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing vertical pole with a 72” setback, telescoping to 78” extension. The Tyrant III Basketball System's vertical pole is constructed of 6 5/8” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing, designed for a 48” bury into the ground. It features a 72” setback from the post to the backboard, with a telescoping attachment allowing for up to 78” extension. Two 1” round tubular braces support the top corners of the backboard and connect directly to the pole, which is engineered for the rim to mount directly through the backboard into the horizontal extension to eliminate backboard stress.

An H-Frame structure made of 1 ½” square x 11 gauge tubing is provided, standing 36” tall. This H-Frame includes mounting slots for industry standard 20”x35” mounting and features a faceplate no less than 3/16” thick, ensuring rim bolts pass through the backboard and into the H-Frame to prevent breakage. The backboard itself is 36”x 54” rectangular acrylic, 1/2” thick, framed with a 1/8” thick anodized aluminum framework. It also has a bright white 2” border and an official shooter's square screened on the backside to eliminate wear.

The standard rim is a flexible, institutional quality type designed to absorb player contact stress, with spring action provided by a heavy-duty compression wire spring. All structural components are built of no less than 3/16” steel, and the rim features an official 5/8” diameter high strength steel ring supported by a 3/16” brace covering 60% of the ring. It is punched to accommodate either a 3”x 4” or 5”x 5” hole pattern and has an orange powdercoated finish. The entire system has an approximate weight of 480#, and the pole, backboard, and standard rim are backed by a Lifetime Unconditional Warranty.

Lifetime Unconditional Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
