The First Team Tyrant Intensity Basketball System features a 6 5/8” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing vertical pole with a 72” setback. The First Team Tyrant Intensity Basketball System's vertical pole is constructed of 6 5/8” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing, designed for a 48” bury into the ground and a 72” setback from post to backboard. The backboard attachment is telescoping, allowing for up to a 78” extension. Two 1” round tubular braces support the top corners of the backboard and connect directly to the pole. The pole is designed so the rim mounts directly through the backboard into the horizontal extension, eliminating backboard stress during play.

The backboard is 42”x72” rectangular aluminum, featuring a 10 gauge skin and a ¼” rear support strap structure. All formed corners and edges are fully welded and ground for safety. Its face is punched throughout with 3/8” holes, excluding a 2” border and the shooters square area, and is coated with white powder coat. The backboard accepts rims with a 5”x5” hole pattern and is manufactured in the USA.

The standard rim is fabricated from 3/16” backplates and sideplates, fully welded, and consists of double 5/8” diameter high strength steel welded together at a minimum of six places. Nets are attached via a continuous netlocking system constructed of 3/16”x 1” steel with punched slots, facilitating use of either nylon or chain nets, with a nylon net included. The entire rim is powdercoated orange. The entire system weighs approximately 430#, and the pole, backboard, and standard rim carry a Lifetime Unconditional Warranty.

Lifetime Unconditional Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
