The Tyrant Max Basketball System features a 6 5/8” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing pole with a 72” setback and can extend up to 78”. The Tyrant Max Basketball System is built with a robust 6 5/8” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing vertical pole, designed for a 48” bury into the ground. It features a 72” setback from the post to the backboard, with a telescoping attachment that allows for an extension up to 78” if desired. Two 1” round tubular braces provide support to the top corners of the backboard, connecting directly to the pole, and the rim mounting design routes the rim directly through the backboard into the horizontal extension, eliminating backboard stress during play.

The system includes a 36”x 54” fan-shaped backboard constructed of cast aluminum, which is powdercoated white and features an official size orange shooters square. All brace mounting holes are threaded to accept 3/8” attachment bolts, and the backboard is designed to accept rims with a 5”x 5” hole pattern, manufactured in the U.S.A. The standard rim is fabricated from 3/16” backplates and sideplates, fully welded, and features double 5/8” diameter high strength steel welded at a minimum of six places, finished with an orange powdercoat. Nets are secured via a continuous netlocking system of 3/16”x 1” steel with punched slots, accommodating either nylon or chain nets, with a nylon net included.

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
