The Tyrant Select Basketball System features a robust vertical pole constructed of 6 5/8” O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized tubing, designed for a 48” bury into the ground. It offers a standard 72” setback from the post to the backboard, with a telescoping backboard attachment allowing up to a 78” extension if desired. Two 1” round tubular braces support the top corners of the backboard and connect directly to the pole, ensuring stability.

An H-Frame structure, built from 1 ½” square x 11 gauge tubing and standing 36” tall, is provided with a wall structure, featuring a faceplate no less than 3/16” thick. This frame provides mounting slots for industry standard 20”x35” patterns and allows rim bolts to pass through the backboard directly into the H-Frame, eliminating backboard stress. The system's 36”x 60” rectangular backboard is 1/2” thick acrylic, framed with 1/8” thick anodized aluminum, and includes a bright white 2” border and an official shooter's square screened on the backside.

The flexible, institutional quality rim is constructed with no less than 3/16” steel components, a 5/8” diameter high strength steel ring, and is supported by a 3/16” brace covering 60% of the ring, finished in orange powdercoat. The entire system has an approximate weight of 490 pounds, and the pole, backboard, and standard rim carry a Lifetime Unconditional Warranty.

Lifetime Unconditional Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
