The Gared LXP4200 is a 42" x 72" regulation competition backboard built from 1/2" fully tempered glass in a steel frame, with white target lines permanently fused into the glass. The LXP4200 is Gared's professional main court competition glass backboard, the specification for arenas and gymnasiums where the board is the focal point of the court. It is a 42" x 72" rectangular board (6'-0" x 3'-6") in 1/2" thick fully tempered glass, with the white target lines permanently fused onto the glass surface rather than applied as a decal.

The steel frame is fabricated from formed steel angles fastened together and joined with heavy gauge steel mounting plates that reinforce the corners, while the lower horizontal frame section carries a tubular steel support brace for added strength. The result is a direct force pressure setting above 1100 pounds. The entire frame and its components are powder coated in a durable neutral gray finish.

Two details protect the glass in service: an acrylic cushioning pad sits between the steel mounting plate and the glass, and vinyl shock absorbing material insulates the glass from the frame. Goal mounting holes are on standard 5" horizontal and 4" vertical centers with 3/8-16 x 3/4" studs in two places and 3/8-16 UNC threaded inserts. The board meets NCAA and high school requirements and is made in the United States.

Warranty

Lifetime Warranty; glass covered against breakage only when used with a Gared Direct Goal Attachment

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
