In short

The Gared GP10P72DM Pro Jam is an adjustable in-ground basketball system with a 6" square steel post, a 42" x 72" unbreakable polycarbonate backboard (BB72P50), and a 2000+ collegiate breakaway rim. Playing height adjusts between 7'-0" and 10'-0" with the lockable sidewind actuator, and the post bolts to a concrete footing.

The Pro Jam is designed for applications requiring a durable adjustable basketball system to be used outside, such as a park, playground, or residential setting. Athletes of all ages and activity levels can move from youth to competitive heights by engaging the post actuator and locking it into place.

The GP10P72DM is built on a 6" square steel post with 3/16" wall thickness. Two formed steel extension arms connect to the post with a large diameter pivot bolt, and every pivot point uses tight-fit non-metallic flanged bearings. The arms provide a 4'-0" distance from the backboard to the post at the 10' playing height and are adjusted by a heavy duty lockable actuator anywhere between 7'-0" and 10'-0". Post and arms are powder coated black to prevent rust.

The board is a Gared BB72P50 rectangular polycarbonate backboard: 1/2" thick polycarbonate permanently attached to a steel tubular frame with aluminum extrusions, 42" high by 72" wide. The goal is a Gared 2000+ Collegiate Breakaway rim, official 18" size in 5/8" diameter steel with continuous no-tie net attachment, full wing brace design, orange powder coat finish, and nylon net.

The post is surface-mounted with a bolt-to-ground design for easier installation and system transportability, using a template plate with 3/4" zinc plated U-bolts set in about 1/2 yard of concrete (14-16 bags of 80 lb pre-mix). Optional padding is available separately: LSCE72 backboard padding, PP6WR or PP6SQF pole pads, and BP6SQ base pole pad. Padding is not included with the unit.

Warranty

1-Year Limited Warranty on materials and factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
