The Gared PK3531 is a commercial-grade outdoor basketball package for playgrounds and physical education programs. It combines a 3-1/2" O.D. adjustable straight post (AAB35-1) with a 36" safe play area, a 36" x 48" acrylic backboard (BB48A38) and a model 726 double breakaway rim. Braces AAB35-12-BB60 and brace kits 15A353942 and 15B603949 are part of the package.

The PK3531 is built for schools and parks that need a durable outdoor goal on a controlled budget. The AAB35-1 post is a 3-1/2" O.D. adjustable straight post paired with the AAB35-2 extension arm, giving a 36" safe play area between the pole and the backboard.

The package is completed with a BB48A38 36" x 48" acrylic backboard and a model 726 double breakaway rim, plus the AAB35-12-BB60 brace and brace kits 15A353942 and 15B603949. No strut is required on this configuration.

Gared supplies a bill of materials with the installation and assembly instructions; all parts should be checked against that list before assembly begins. Only authorized personnel should install or adjust the extension arm, backboard or goal, and Gared recommends a preventative maintenance inspection at least once a year, more often under heavy use.

Warranty

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
