The Gared GNA35R is a commercial-quality 3-1/2" O.D. galvanized steel unbraced rear-mount gooseneck basketball post with a 3' extension for playgrounds and parks. The gooseneck extends the backboard 36" out from the post to create the safe play area. No braces are used on this model, and it is compatible only with rear-mount fan-shape steel backboards; board and goal are not included.

The GNA35R is the unbraced, rear-mount member of Gared's economy playground gooseneck family. A single curved 3-1/2" O.D. [89 mm] x 0.160" wall galvanized steel tube carries the backboard 36" out from the vertical post, giving a 36" area for safe play at a fixed height.

A 1/4" [6.3 mm] thick rear mount plate is used as a direct goal attachment for the backboard. Gared's package component list shows the GNA35R with no brace and no brace kit required, and the instructions confirm braces are not used on these units. Because of the rear-mount plate the post is only compatible with rear-mount fan-shape steel backboards.

Installation requires the post to extend at least 36" into a concrete footing that is a minimum of 24" in diameter and 48" deep; concrete for installation is not included. The post is galvanized steel in silver, made in the United States, and ships by truck at 90 lbs (40.82 kg), shipping class 70.

Warranty

10-Year Limited Warranty against defects in material or factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Which backboards fit the GNA35R?

It is only compatible with rear-mount fan-shape steel backboards. The board and goal are not included - the component list shows the GNA35R as post only.

Does the GNA35R use braces?

No. Gared's component list shows None for brace and N/R for brace kit, and the installation instructions state that braces are not used on these units.

What foundation does the GNA35R require?

The post must extend at least 36" into the concrete footing, which must be a minimum of 24" in diameter and 48" deep. Concrete for installation is not included.
